Estate Liquidation and Cleanouts in Annapolis and Severna Park
Severna Park is where Sanford & Son Estate Specialists is based, so Annapolis and the rest of Anne Arundel County are a short drive, not a trip. Round Bay, Chartwell, Olde Severna Park, Ben Oaks and Berrywood were built out in the 1950s and 60s along the Severn and the Magothy; Hillsmere, Cape St. Claire, Annapolis Roads and the older streets of Arnold and Davidsonville filled in around the same time. A great many of those houses still belong to the people who bought them. When one of them downsizes or passes away, we sort, value and move the contents of a lifetime, and hand the house back broom-clean. Call 443-223-8036 for a free walkthrough.
What makes Anne Arundel estates different
Water. A surprising share of the homes we clear here have a dock, a boathouse, a shed full of crab pots or a garage with forty years of boat gear in it, and all of that has to go somewhere. Marine hardware, outboards, kayaks and good tools have real resale value, and we treat them that way rather than tossing them in a dumpster. The other difference is the Naval Academy and Fort Meade. Many Annapolis families are military, their children are posted around the world, and they need someone local they can trust with the keys.
Our answer to both is the same. The owner is on site for every project. Items with resale value are inventoried and sold, and the proceeds are credited against your invoice. Anything you want kept is set aside first, photographed and packed for shipping if needed. What charities can use is donated, with receipts. What can be recycled is recycled. The remainder is hauled, and the house is handed back broom-clean.

How an Annapolis project runs
Walkthrough. The owner walks the property with you in person or on a video call. You get a written quote for the whole job, with a schedule.
Keep list. Before the crew touches anything, we pull the items you have flagged. For families out of town, we photograph every room and send the pictures, then wait.
Liquidation. Furniture, art, nautical pieces, decorative items and collections are priced and sold. This is where an Annapolis estate usually offsets a meaningful share of the cleanout cost.
Donation and recycling. Usable goods go out early to charities in Anne Arundel County. Metal, paper, electronics and cardboard are separated.
Haul-away and handoff. The last day is loading and a final sweep. You receive photos of every room, and the keys go wherever you direct.
Working with your realtor, attorney or personal representative
Anne Arundel estates run through the Register of Wills in Annapolis, and there is usually an attorney, a personal representative and a listing agent with a date in mind. We coordinate with all of them. The quote can go to the attorney, keys can come from the agent, and the handoff photos can go to everyone at once. If the house is going on the market, we time the final sweep to the photographer's schedule. If you would rather be completely done, we can line up a move-out deep clean through our partner cleaning company and introduce a local realtor.
Discretion
Round Bay, Chartwell and Murray Hill are neighborhoods where everyone knows everyone. We run unmarked crews, keep nothing at the curb overnight, and do not post about the houses we work in.
Neighborhoods we serve
Severna Park (Round Bay, Chartwell, Olde Severna Park, Ben Oaks, Berrywood, Manhattan Beach), Annapolis (Murray Hill, West Annapolis, Eastport, Hillsmere Shores, Annapolis Roads, Parole, Admiral Heights), Arnold and the Broadneck peninsula (Cape St. Claire), Davidsonville, Edgewater, Riva, Crownsville, Millersville, Pasadena, Crofton, Odenton and Gambrills.
Frequently asked questions
Do you handle boats, docks and marine gear?
Yes. Outboards, trailers, kayaks, sails and marine hardware are inventoried and sold or consigned. If a boat has a title we will help you find the right buyer or donation channel rather than scrapping it.
My parents are still living in the house and downsizing. Can you help?
Yes. We clear what is not going to the new home, sell or donate it, and leave the rest of the house livable until moving day.
Is there a travel charge in Anne Arundel County?
No. We are based in Severna Park, so this is home. The quote covers the entire job.
Can you clear a condo in downtown Annapolis or Eastport?
Yes. We handle building and HOA requirements, parking and loading on the narrow downtown streets, and the elevator reservation if there is one.
